Acer Aspire 1681Lci
Pentium M-Centrino 1.5ghz/400mhz fsb/2mb L2 Cache
512 DDR SDram
ATi mobility Radeon 9700 64mb /vid card
£730.00

or

Acer Aspire 1522WLmi
AMD athlon 64 3000+
512 DDR SDram
Nvidia GeForce GO5700 64mb /vid card
£790.00

which one would you peps go for and why?
go to take into account im using it for business then may also have use for it as a games machine as well.
also the fact that the longhorn is due end of the year, maybe?
Or even better laptops for around the same price(max £800.00)

cheers

The 1522WLmi all the way...little more money, but GREAT battery time with PowerNOW techology (where the mobo cuts voltage and multiplier for battery life during non-crucial processes)

The centrino will be a nice system, but lacking any real high end cpu power. May add half hr extra to battery life over the A64...but like you said, longhorn comin out soon (hopefully) the centrino will get left in the dust.

I have a 3400 DTR (A64) laptop, its the best thing since sliced bread.
