Real quick question.... It hasn't gotten irritating until now because I now have temps being displayed there and it keep getting in the way...Safely Remove Hardware.... This is my first sata drive and I am wondering why windows treats it as removable hardware and how to get this irritating notification to GO AWAY!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Attachment 33815

Because you have the SATA drive plugged into a hot-swappable SATA port. You need to plug it into a normal SATA port to make that go away (I think).

Right click the taskbar area, go to properties, click customize. You should be able to "always hide" this icon by changing it's setting in the customize menu.

That just hides the problem, not fixes it though.

I have that set but it still clutters the icons I use that aren't always active e.g. nvmixer, logitech setpoint,nero... I currently was turning them off for gaming session and it keeps getting in the way lol. I constantly tweak the eq,modify button settings and use nero for photo and cd burning so acces to just these icons is what I'm wanting....

Thanks again guys

It just hides it with the rest of my inactive icons lol I sooooo want it gone....It never stays in one spot either lol but turning the others off when gaming has a huge performance increase, also I'm sure this is another I can shut down for gaming. I knock it down to 18 processes after closing task manager and 17 could only mean more free memory and speed
