Facebook's ad network is expanding beyond the social network to display more ads on other websites and track non-users. It'll monitor viewer activity through cookies and embedded buttons, such as like buttons. This practice has been criticized in Europe, resulting in Facebook having to warn users about its use of cookies.
Source.

Facebook in your face even if you don't bank on their book.

this is exactly why I have ad blocking, cookie erasing and those damn social buttons disabled in my browser.

Soon as they start sending me checks, I will stop using them.

Guess I'll finally get a fb account now

Seriously, never had one, only knew about tracking once you got one, been using bing for search since it came out, stayed away from chrome since it came along as bloatware, like mcaffee so much.
But I am a fan of windows 10. Getting some tracking there.
Seems like only so long I could hold out with a reasonable amount of sacrifice.

In case you haven't noticed FB is really nothing more than a profiling engine, plain and simple.
Now they are building profiles on...... Everyone.

BTW I'd be suspicous of your favorite proggy such as adblock of having a backdoor built in they can work around. An entitiy such as FB probrably worked up a deal sometime ago with this in mind for the future, which is now.

And guess who really wants all this profiling info compiled..... I mean c'mon guys, take a crack at it.

I always thought it's quite obvious who the creators of FB and Google are, considering these plans were hatched by think tanks decades ago and had been on the table at the Pentagon since at least the 80's, if not long before then.

Wait, how exactly will they track me if I don't have an account neither visit their page?
