I have looked through the forums and I have found a link to a website http://tinyempire.com/notes/ntldrismissing.htm but I still cannot get the problem resolved.

Here is the situation, I was messing around with my small oc, I got to windows and everything is fine, good temps, everything looks stable going to make some more small adjustments. So I restart the computer and tweak a little more, restart again, then boom, "NTLDR is missing".

I then set everything to stock settings and tired again, "NTLDR is missing"

Reset the bios, "NTLDR is missing"

Attempted to run the W7 disk to repair, it loads windows files then the windows boot manager appears and it says that windows failed to start and that I need to insert my windows installation disk and restart.
(Status: 0xc0000225)

I then tried every combination of disk drive boot orders and I would get varying results between NTLDR is missing and start windows in last known good config, then it just restarts the computer.

I then went to the website at the begging of the post and the only option I have is to create a USB bootable. I followed the instructions and I noticed that I had an additional "Boot from CD" dialog appear however I just get "NTLDR is missing"

I made sure that my boot order had removable media listed first (It did) and then I disabled booting from HDs, then HDs and CD drives and same result every time.

So question time. Is there anything I am missing? How can I make sure that the bootable USB is set up properly?

Thanks for the help guys

NTLDR missing means that the OS corrupted, when overclocking usually caused by unstable memory modules. If you can't run a repair (?), you'll have to do a full re-install by using the Windows DVD.

Sometimes NTLDR missing can also mean the HDD is dying.
it can also mean the jumpers aren't correct on the hard drives.

Humm... would taking out some ram perhaps help in case something happened to a module? I wont be able to do a complete re-install because the windows disk is not loading properly. I could whipe my C drive but I dont think that will affect how the disk is booting, but I dont know for sure.

Double post infringement!

I do have the jumpers in their factory positions, I could move them to master/slave positions one min...

Well if the memory is running in unlinked mode at rated speed and voltage it should work properly. If you think one of the modules has gone bad you could try running memtest+ v4.0.

It looks like you haven't had any succes trying to boot from DVD? I'm not familiar with the 750i but maybe there is a key you can press at bootup which bring up a boot menu?

I can boot from the DVD fine it is when I attempts to load the files from the disk it has issues and it brings me to the windows boot manager window.

Mini update: I moved the jumper to master on the OS drive and just for the heck of it unplugged the remaining two storage drives and I can get now get to the windows error recovery screen. Attempting to start windows normally or from last known good config brings me to black screens and nothing... starting in safe mode it hangs on loading crcdisk.sys

Well an odd set of events had just got the cogs on my computer turning again! unplugging the unnecessary HDDs seemed to eliminate confusion as to the whereabouts of NTLDR. I than ran a startup recovery which failed however when the computer restarted, windows just started up fine. Thanks to all
