Windows drivers version 197.15 and Linux drivers version 195.36.07.03 provide full support for OpenGL 3.3 and GLSL 3.30. The driver download links are at the bottom of this page. OpenGL 4 drivers will be available from this page when Fermi based GPUs are available.

You will need one of the following graphics cards to get access to the OpenGL 3.3 and GLSL 3.30 functionality:

These were the drivers that caused fan control to go all crazy, but now they don't? They just released .13 the other day.

These are newer than the 197.13 drivers.

The 196.75 were the bad drivers for the fans.

Developer drivers that provide OpenGL 3.3 and OpenGL 2.1 updates.

Will these give any gaming performance boost in gaming?
I currently have the 197.13's installed. So are these 197.15's better than the ones I have installed in terms of gaming? i am unsure what the open GL means?
Can someone break it down for me?

I saw a 4% drop in performance vs the 196.75.

I'm guessing this will be more of a boost for workstation graphics cards. Reading through my Engineering Design course book just now, and CAD software such as Pro/Engineer utilises OpenGL quite alot.

Not 100% sure though, I just skim read. Maybe someone who has tested it for other applications can clarify.

Horrid drivers.

Rolled back to my 186.18's after a couple hours.

Dropped from 50fps in BC2 to about 30.
Cod4 dropped from 250 solid to about 220 with severe drops to 160, in places that normally dropped to 210 or so.
In metro 2033 i got about 19fps when shooting, down from approx 26-27.

Nvidia, *** are you doing?

I don't know what happened for you Jackolantern, but I get a smooth 70 fps with high settings on BC2 and my buddy has a GTX 260 and he pulls at least 50 fps with high settings with these drivers. The game is smooth as butter for the both of us.

Looks like maybe your dual core is not doing so hot for you and also something went wrong with your install. Did you do the driver sweep in safe mode method?

I think Jackolantern just doesn't know how to properly remove/install drivers to avoid pitfalls.

Nice assumption there Exostenza.

Just before we start bagging people out, these drivers fail on my system.

I cant get my OCs to engage on folding or gaming... and I know how to properly remove and install drivers. Rolled back to 195.65 - no issues now.
