My searching returned old articles on this subject, and I have been on the red side of things for a while until this gtx 970.

Does anyone have a good, recent source on info about optimizing per application settings in the control panel for these drivers? Or even some quick advice? Looking for a bit more performance out of this card.

Thanks in advance,

Nvidia already has the settings set well, pretty much everything in there is to increase image quality or turn on things like adaptive vsync (which I recommend, it's vsync that turns off whenever you dip below the refresh rate). I usually just turn on adaptive vsync and transparancy antialiasing in there myself. (make sure vsync is off in games when using adaptive in the driver)

The main way for you to increase performance would be to overclock it, those 970's can clock pretty darn well. There is a setting in there for controlling how much the gpu can downclock when it isn't needed, but that won't make it any faster in games.
