What are your load temps?

I used rivatuner to manage my clocks, and use ATI tool for artifact scan. I also use rivatuner to up my fan speeds to 100%.

Most graphics cards down-clock themselves when they're idle to save power.
Well my load temps never get higher then 45C but when using ATI Tool i get this error
The Videocard you selected for overclocking ATITool does not seem to be used by windows

Visual testing has been disabled
to fix this go to display properties and settings enable the monitor output of the card
how to fix?

I don't think double those clocks is a reality unless your on LN2.
Tip
Clock in 5- 10MHz increments start with core and shader linked leave mems at default for now. Mems don't clock amazing on GPU's.
ATI Tool= extreme stress, no game is going to stress a GPU like that. Just use 3D mark 06, if it runs then clock more if it crashes back off 5 MHz etc.

massive clocks with a 9800GTX on LN2

Hey Funcrazy1, do you have the current drivers installed from the Nvidia site?
yes i do have the current drivers from Nvidia
Are you running 2 monitors?
yes i'm but when gaming i disable the second monitor
Then disable the second monitor, and try to run ATI tool.

Weird. Try Rivatuner or EVGA Precision. I don't know what to tell ya.
ok err i want to get more Cause Some 8800GT are better then my 8800GT since 9800Gt is the 8800GT lol

If ATITool wont work for you, try playing your most graphically intensive game. I find it is the best way to test of your GPU overclock is stable. I see 2-3C higher temps after 30 minutes Crysis than i do after 30 miniutes of ATITool.

after doing Nvidia Smoke demo i got a high temp of 48C after 20 mins of doing the video demo i think it is stable
