Tried it in both slots. X2 and X4. SATA & PCIE as well.

Just purchased a new WD Black SN750 500GB NVMe M.2. Will now install the same game that it crashed on, and ill report back later today.

BSOD appears to have vanished. Playing the same game no problem now for multiple hours (whereas previous drive would crash consistently within 1 minute)
Any suggestion on what could have been wrong with my Gigabyte NVME ?

Maybe the giga is just too fast and running over your system :/
The non rgb model is supposed to be really good not too many reviews on them though.

Thanks for your help. Appreciate it alot.
The new W/D Drive actually has the same reads, but 500mb/s higher writes. So its faster than the Gigabyte yet no problems whatsoever now (2 days later).
Ill RMA it after Christmas break.

I didn't even think a RGB NVME Drive existed. I mean how is it addressable and where does it get power from? Dear god.
I thought we were at the end of the world when RGB HDMI and fan cables came out.

Probably too late for this but have you tried installing the Samsung Nvme driver?
I was having BSOD's related to storage and this driver fixed everything for me.

The drive in question is a Gigabyte AORUS NVME 512GB drive. Samsung firmware updates apply to Samsung modules only ??

Just found this thread as I have been having scattered blue screens on my NVME pro 960 ... hoping this might help as the random bluescreens are seriously irritating!

Just going crazy with this BSOD. I have Samsung NVMe 970 EVO. After install windows to another drive, the BSOD gone. Anyone know what caused the problem? Windows? Mainboard with NVMe? Or NVMe itseft need replacement? Please!

I put a COUPLE of WD sn850's into an RP-17 and all it did was BSOD. Just ordered a 2TB sn570 and I hope it behaves.
After a bunch of searches this is the only thread I've seen with a similar issues. I was guessing that I put a Gen 4 SSD into a gen 3 slot and that was causing the issues but after reading this story I don't know.
