Haven't overclocked an i7 myself but that guide should help you if you're a beginner, I guess the P6T and your P6X58D-E must have a very similar BIOS :

They're using an i7 920 but your 930 is the same only with a 21 multiplier, now their settings maybe won't work for you as every CPU and motherboard is different but it should give you an idea. you should always try to find the best settings yourself for your particular configuration.

Just did a quick stability test.....STABLE! all cores running at 4 ghz, and sitting at around 40 degrees

Ok... instable... lol 50% of the time when i turn the pc on, it says before i get into windows "Overclock Failed!"

?? any ideas what could be going wrong??

I did the Intel Burn test on the standard setting, and it came up stable, as soon as i put the stress level up one setting... it crashed.

Are you still using settings from post #10 ?

First since you have been getting a bunch of failed overclocks I'd clear CMOS. I've had stability issues hang around after a failed overclock even after reverting back to settings I knew were rock solid.

I'd suggest these changes

CPU Voltage............................[1.35]
Puts it at at vcore that "should" be rock solid. Then you can back it back down. Drop it .00625 or .0125 at a time then test for stability. Once you fail raise it back up a notch and call it good.

DRAM Frequency.........................[DDR3-1149MHz]
UCLK Frequency.........................[2298MHz]
Change RAM to X6 settings to isolate vcore. Move it back up after getting vcore down to min. stable levels.

CPU Differential Amplitude.............[900mV]
Add a little noise immunity. Get it stable with a high noise immunity then see if you can back it down to 700mV after everything else is stable.

QPI/DRAM Core Voltage..................[1.25]
Should be able to leave it where it's at for now. Then after getting vcore stable and raising DRAM & UCLK Frequency back up to X8 adjust this to min. stable levels.

If after doing the above you are still having trouble raise this .02 at a time and repeat the steps above. This helps stabilize high BCLK frequencies. Don't go over 1.88. Doubt you need it for 191.
