Tried to find consistent information on max heat for a Intel Prescott. No luck so, thought I'd drag the subject up again....

3.2ghz with a xp-90. It runs a little under 50C until room temps go up. The CPU is going as high as 55C with the CPU running at 100% and oc'd to a little over 4ghz. Fans are running about as fast/loud as I care to run them.

Strongly concidering water cooling so, this is kind of leading up to a purchasing decision (separate subject)

Thanks....

Yeah 60 is about as high as you want to go... mine shows throttling at about 66-67 degrees C.

As far as the Tornado on the heastsink... been there.. did that... it worked... very noisy... undervolt it a bit to bring the rpms down for noise control... but not so much as to not get the cooling job done too. Play with it some.
