Hello, when i oc my 7800GT more then 410/1100 and i go to play BF2 it does this artifact thing in game, but when i ratchet it back down to stock numbers it runs perfect, it has the stock cooler but never gets hotter then 57 while playing BF2 for like 2-3hours, one day ill go with watercooling so i dont really want to invest in a new cooling setup for my 7800gt, i was just wondering why cant i Oc my card to 490/1200 and what not and still be able to play BF2smoothly, isnt that the point of OCing a video card?.

other then thats its a great card, too bad the GTX was out of reach budget wise

Yea, it was cool bits, it gave me 488/1170 but game play is still a bit jumpy.

are you using the stock cooler for your 7800gt? im using a Zalman 700cu that allows me to run 490/1200 pretty well.
