OCZ Freeze or AC MX-2? which one is better?

hey guys getting new thermal paste just wondering which one i should buy. i have AS5 right now and need lower temps.

Also switching out the Xigmatek S-1283 for a lapped TRUE from crazypc.com with a Ultra Kaze 3000rpm fan.

AS5 somehow works better on the Xigmatek than any other paste...

OCZ Freeze, in general, is the better thermal paste... so you can give it a go, though I've heard AS5 performs better than OCZ Freeze with Xigmatek coolers

i'm using ac mx-2 right now, i get about 1-2c lower than AS5. I haven't tried OCZ freeze yet tho.

Through many online reviews, yes... both AS5 and OCZ Freeze are better than MX2

do you think the paste would bring my temps down even more if i switch the xigmatek for a lapped TRUE and add the ultra kaze 3000 fan

Of those choices I would pick ocz freeze.

Personally I use as5 or shin etsu.

definitely... a lapped true with an ultra kaze will dramatically lower your temps.. I'm estimating at least 8C + another 2C with OCZ Freeze... I have the TRUE with a 2000 RPM Ultra Kaze, and it performs very well... with a 3000 RPM Ultra Kaze, you won't have to worry about overheating

wow that is amazing i think i will do that then cause i have a 1.200 vid q6600 that i need to crank to 3.6 and i cant with current setup cause temps anyone want to buy a pretty much brand new xig haha

With Q6600 being 10c lower then what it was before due to wrong reading of tj.max i think xigmateck is more then enough. My Quad get 63c load with OCZ freeze and Kaze 3000. With the new reading its is 53C load.

The TJmax was set wrong. I think it is supposed to be 95*C?

Should be 90 for Q6600 G0 according to this chart.
