My friend got this psu ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817711001 ) and it turns out, it won't fit in his case due to where his pump is. He's offering it to me for $100, a few bucks less than what it costs new. He has tested it and it does work. Should I buy it?

It's not really worth $100 anymore, closer to $80 now.

it's actually $95 in newegg. Tell him to drop the price to $80-$85 if he is a good friend of yours... Dual +12v with 20A each. It's a good PSU

It's not a bad PSU, but it's a little dated. This OCZ made with FSP-Group parts is only $10 more after rebate, and it less before rebate. 600w, with quad +12v rails at 18A each (40A total).
Your money would be better spent on one of the new OCZ psus, the 600w powerstream wasn't as stable as the 520w version

Sure as long as he gives you the rebate money with it.
If you really want it tell him $75 or he can keep it.
I think OCZ makes good power supplies, I've had really good luck with them.
