The 1st official review of the 120GB is finally out and unfortunately the results are not what I expected

Now I'm torn between keeping my C300 128GB drive, or using the Vertex 3. I just got the Vertex 3 from NewEgg and its still sitting here in front of me still shrink-wrapped. My AS SSD score with the C300 is 676.
So confused.

OT: Not to bust your balls or anything, but is that against the rules? Can you please provide a reference? Thx

Don't you just hate it when you JUST bought something only to read a negative review after?

I'm looking to get a 128GB SSD myself... are you happy with the C300?

Wow, such depressing scores...

welp, vertex 3 might be off my list now
I'm very happy with the C300. However it IS my 1st SSD. Maybe I'll just install the V3 also and see which one 'feels' faster.
God, I wish I knew how the other drives' 120GB versions performed. I can't decide if I should take advantage of newegg's $199 C300 deal or wait a month for the next gen reviews. ***
To be fair, at the speeds we get with today's SSDs, you'll seldom 'see' or 'feel' the difference. The difference will be benchmarks, which are all well and good but how do they translate to overall user experience?
I think we've come to a point where SSD upgrades can be held off for a good number of years. At least I won't upgrade my current SSD until I can get a ridiculously faster and ridiculously bigger SSD for about what I paid for my OCZ Vertex 3 120GB SSD - £220, or even less!

Decisions decision!
i ultimately went with the c300 since the marvel 9123 controller can't max out vertex's speed anyway.
Yes but I mean it's not by a lot. Like 40Mb/sec or something you're losing right? 5MB/s...I'd still rather have 500Mb/s compared to 300Mb/s. $100 difference is just kind of a lot for the same size drive. And those benches are making me even more hesitant. WHY CAN'T THERE JUST BE THE OMEGA OBVIOUSLY BEST DRIVE?!?!?SHIFT+1

believe it or not the c300 actually has a much better 4k read.
I believe it, I saw the benches. That's why they're making me more hesitant on getting the vertex 3. Hence the frusteration.
Incredibly frustrating. I just want to get the best 120/128 drive possible since I don't plan on upgrading it for 4-5 years. Would buy at a high price
the Crucial M4 will be out on the 26th. Might be worth the wait. I am debating whether to buy the Vertex 3 240 or wait till the M4 256 comes out. Its slated to be $100 cheaper than the Vertex 3.
There not going anywhere and all this can be fixed with a simple firmware update I am sure ...
