Wow, nice price drop on that XTC (IIRC I paid $24)
It's a great cooler (IMHO Much better design and build quality than the Dominator AirFlow)
The top plate of it will slide a little side to side before you tighten the screws down so you should have no problems hitting that heatpipe-
and it really doesn't extend much further down than the bottom of the RAM slots anyway- so no issue with the block either!

Seems you're one of the users who know what you're doing with the MSI DKA790GX. I've read the reviews on newegg.com and many people seem to hate it. Guessing at more than half of them are people flashing the BIOS using the windows utility.

I'd appreciate it if you had a moment to answer a question about the motherboard.

How well does the FSB overclock (what's the highest FSB you've used with the system stable)? Read there was some issues with VRM overheating with a high FSB.

Been considering one and would appreciate any input.
