I've searched and couldn't find a thread for 3950x owners to post JUST 3950x results. So, here I start this thread, and will post my OC's in a few. Please, all users of 3950x's post up your screenies of OC's!

can someone chime in and tell me how these voltages look please? This is my OC with CCD 1 @ 4.5GHz and CCD2 @ 4.25Ghz

Need a little help here... I went back into bios and increased my "Per Core CCD" OC 25mhz each to the following

CCD1 4.525GHz
CCD2 4.325GHz

rebooted,
started aida64 benchmark and PC rebooted instantly and upon POST screen, it told me OVER TEMPERATURE Warning. Which cant be, I had HWinfo64 open and both CCD's never went above 89/90c .. Again, this PC is highend watercooled and she was 1000% stable with CCD1 4.5ghz, CCD2 4.3ghz.

I put CCD1 back to 4.5ghz but left CCD2 @ 4.325ghz and pc is perfect. What is going on, i can promise it is not overheating. Is there some sort of sensor option i can disable in bios to stop this, or maybe there is a voltage i need to increase to fix this??.

Right now im at CCD1 = 4.5 and CCD2 = 4.325 and just gamed for nearly 1 hour playing boarderlands 3 and DAMN DID IT PLAY NICE!!

anyone have any input on this matter? Thank you

I've put a few hours into the all-core overclock on my 3950x.

It's currently 4.4ghz all-core with 1.3 vcore

newls1: I also got the reboot and over temp alert when I pushed to 4.45 and 1.325 vcore and I'm 100% sure it wasn't over 85c when it happened.

I put a few hours of BF5 on this system tonight and it sure does this 2080TI justice! (I previously had a 2700x - 4.2Ghz all core max)

Mind sharing your settings ? I'm having trouble getting anywhere with all core overclock. I am running off a MO-RA3 radiator so I'm sure the cooling is sufficient...
I can pass cinebench 20 at 4.4 with 1.38125 vcore, but any time I try prime95 instant crash even with 3.6 all core clock with the same voltages.

? any guides floating around

I'm interested on the max. UCLK clock what you Guys can get out of the CPU's.
My 3800x can do 1900/1900, I would like to know, if the 3950X's are binned to achieve these clocks or can do better than 1900MHz. This is a huge factor for me, to buy or not buy one, when they gets restocked.

You guys might be hitting a set TDP limit when that overtemp occurs. Try increasing power limit.

normal to have this temp difference? 3950x between the two different ccd has really big temperature deltas by just running Cinebench R20

You guys might be hitting a set TDP limit when that overtemp occurs. Try increasing power limit.

also at 1.06v my fclk is maxed out at 1866, how high of a voltage should I use to attempt 1900?

I tried setting vcore to 1.3 and managed 4.3 all cores. 4.4 rebooted my pc.
However, your temp numbers seem a bit high. [email protected] topped at 59-60 for me using a custom loop with 2x560mm and 2x360mm rads.
I'm using the Asrock Aqua so have its monoblock on my cpu and mobo.

Look in bios AMD NBIO
set to manual and raise value and set to power not balanced in Windows settings. turn off ovp and ocp protections. Or not. ;P

asus doesnt seem to have these options, other then 1 option which i forgot what it was called but i forced the cpu to 140% over "something", other options were 130/120% etc.... I topped it out at 140%. still getting insta-reboot if i increase ccd's just 25mhz over 4.5ghz.... very strange.

something is so weird with our board. So I keep getting insta-reboot when trying to run CB R20 for some reason, then upon post, bios post screen reads "CPU OVER TEMP WARNING" this is BS as I was watching temps in hwinfo64 the sec it rebooted, and temps on both ccd dies were in the 70's.. So i was determined to kick this issue. Keeping CCD1 @ 4.525ghz and ccd2 @ 4.325ghz, i raised my voltage up and up till this error went away and it took 1.375v to make this OC 100% stable like i reran CB r20 5+ times, then aida64 stabilty tested for 40mins plus till i ended it. no more insta-reboots. So the "CPU OVER TEMP" warning was BS, and was just a unstable OC were cpu needed more volts. Is 1.375V still in the safety margin?

I set PBO to Manual and set PPT, TDC and EDC to 1000. This took care of my random reboots under load that resulted in the over temp alert on POST.

The latest version of HWInfo (6.2) shows the PPT, TDC and EDC. You'll quickly run into the stock EDC limitation with this CPU.

I think I need to look into the mounting of my AM4 EK Velocity. I did some prime95 128k/128k stabillity testing today and hit thermal limit (95c) trying to get 4.4 stable at 1.325 volts.

I have two 360 rads and the coolant temp never went above 27.5C during my tests.

My All Core P95 testing produced these results:
4.3 - 1.225 vcore
4.35 - 1.2625 vcore
4.375 - 1.2875 vcore
4.4 - 1.325 vcore (thermal limit)
