The RX 6800, RX 6800 XT and RX 6900 XT share the same PCB design. The AMD Reference PCB (2x8-pin) has room for 6 power stages on the left and 10 power stages on the right, with ? of them allocated for memory. This means that the RX 6900 XT reference PCB has a maximum of ?? power stages for the GPU.

pretty tempted to go with AMD this time, just as a FU to nvidia for their ridiculous "launch".
Also dont see the point in paying 350 extra for the 6900xt if only thing it has is more CUs nothing more even clock and memory is the same ?

Yeah, I have to think nVidia killed off a lot of brand loyalty with the release. I'll definitely pick up a 6800 XT if it's actually available on the 18th. May consider also picking up the 6900 XT after that, pending benchmarks.

My hunt for a 3080 has ended.

Neck and neck performance, $50 less, 20w less, 6gb more vram. Yes, yes, and yes!

I didn't expect AMD's showing to be this strong. So strong that they'd feel confident enough to price the 6800 above the 3070, which will be a controversial move imo. Looking forwarded to getting my hands on one of these... 6 months after scalpers and the shoe bot bois final relinquish some stock to consumers.

I'm sitting on $1500 since they announced the launch of the Nvidia cards, now I'm just going to wait a little more till the buffet table is prepped with all the goodies on it and reviews are out
A 6900XT that equals the power of a 3090 at a price I can afford... hell yeah!

Some partner cards being shown off today, in order; ASUS ROG RX 6800 XT Strix LC, ASUS ROG RX 6800 XT Strix OC, ASUS RX 6800 XT TUF OC and MSI RX 6800 XT Gaming X Trio, all four of them are 2x8-Pin since 6800 XT model, perhaps (unlikely) we get to see some 3x8-Pin on RX 6900 XT, but so far no mention of RX 6900 XT custom models.

We just learned the dimensions of all 3 cards thanks to SAPPHIRE, they list the products already, they're selling Reference design;

RX 6800 XT and RX 6900 XT
Dimension: 266.7(L)X 119.75(W)X 49.75 (H)mm
267 x 120 x 50mm (2.50 Slot)

RX 6800
Dimension: 266.7(L)X 119.75(W)X 39.75 (H)mm
267 x 120 x 40mm (2.00 Slot)

They are seriously tiny, and can beat both 3080 and 3090, very impressive.

Definitely in for a 6800XT if I can get my hands on one, seems like the best deal. Starting from 6800 you pay 80 bucks more, you get 12 more CUs, more clockspeed, and like 20% more performance it looks to be around? Then from that to the 6900XT, it's 250 more dollars for only 8 more CUs and barely 10% more performance? Just doesn't make sense but... neither does the 3090.

I wonder if they will have a waterblock for the 6800XT?
Hardware labs said in the watercooling section that they would.

Sapphire lists outputs as 1x HDMI, 2x DP, 1x USB-C. I'm hoping some of the board partners do at least 2 HDMI 2.1.
