I think it will only help if you're just almost stable at 2150Mhz and need something little to get you there. Me and the guy that originally posted it were both only stable at 2130MHz before the tweak.

Also, enable SAM. It really helps boost Timespy scores.

Nothing is strange about that score, unless that's a reference card on air lol. My best GPU score was higher than that, but I have XTXH under water. I had to run 2770/2150 with SAM and +35% PL/TDC/SOC to get that high of a score.
I think there is something strange about that score. My best graphics score is 23079 I scored 21 804 in Time Spy, as you can see from this result my average clock is 2715 MHz where the one in question has an average clock of 2523 MHz an almost 200 MHz difference. So, how does one get a higher graphics score with a almost 200 MHz difference in average clocks? The only other difference I can see in the two TS results is the difference in the graphics drivers. My result is from using 21.6.1 driver. The other result appears to be with a newer driver.

If I had to guess, TS is not reporting clock frequencies correctly. Also the new driver gave me like +1000 graphics score points with SAM enabled.

It made no difference for me. After extensive testing in Timespy 2150 MHz gives the best results.
...are you folks hitting '2150 MHz' (VRAM w/fast timings) right on the nose ? I usually get some variation around 2140+ ...fyi, below a quick Superpos 8K run, but with air cooler back on temporarily as I'm updating the w-cooling loop...PL is on +12 instead of +15% given hotspot temp

Well I'll be damn, time to try the new drivers. lol

My memory frequency, according to HWINFO, is running at the set frequency when at idle.
That's why you don't see 1.256v at idle then for memory.

My memory frequency is currently at 192Mhz @ 1.256v.
23953 for the graphics score. I posted a link for it recently.
My bad, nice score.

That's the clock set in RS.

I believe i get somewhere around 2138Mhz as reported by Timespy, so yeah it's normal.

So, I just updated to the latest driver and what a difference with TS I scored 22 189 in Time Spy . My driver settings are somewhat conservative with 2675 min freq, 2775 max freq, mem @ 2150 fast timings. An almost 700 point difference over my past best graphics score.

Yes it's amazing what an increase we are all seeing. Are you using an XTXH?

Could you share your mobo bios settings? Decent physics score.

Did some runs with my Reference 6900 XT.

I ran at 2300MHz to keep it consistent (no power/temp throttling)

Actual clock was about 2240-2245MHz.

I believe my GPU is an XTXH. It is the GB Aorus 6900XT Extreme WB. Just checked it with HWINFO and it is a NAV21 XTXH
I'll provide the MB bios settings in a later post but essentially I am running using PBO with curve optimizer and memory running at 3800MHz 1:1:1.

Here are my Bios settings.

That's a nice card, one of if not the best 6900XT, IMO. Do you mind saving the vBios via GPUz and uploading it here, renaming the .rom extension as a .txt ? I have a nice collection I'm checking with MPT re. PL ratios (W, A) but I'm missing that one, and the TechPowerUp db doesn't have a copy

Well, I have tried to attach the .rom file as .txt file but it does not seem to work.
It is in TechpowerUp DB. Here is the link Gigabyte RX 6900 XT VBIOS

Nice cheers. Yes I know a couple of folks using the same GPU as you and it is XTXH.

What is your default core clock as shown in Radeon Software > GPU Tuning?

So having XTXH LC with 2310MHz give no perf increase over 2150MHz + FT in Time Spy.

This is a reference card doing 23823 Graphic Score at 2523 Mhz average clock speed...
Tell me how there's nothing strange...

Did you read my comment? I said that it would be strange if it was indeed a reference card on air. But the pic you just posted. It looks like they adjusted the FCLK on that card. If they made the right tweaks, and they are using the latest driver, I could see it. 3DMark doesn't always report the correct clocks. This is especially true if there is a large variation in clock speed during the test.
