I got it to finally boot with OEM A-die.
I had to install my TeamGroup M-die kit. boot into the bios and raise me Memory VDD/VDDQ to 1.35v. (this is not arbitrary.)
If I try to manually set VDD/VDDQ back to 1.1v, it goes back to boot looping 28-54-55.

thanks to Comanso and Seby9123 for suggesting this method.

Just a quick OC (memtest stable) of some Corsair A-die 7000 sticks @ 7400. Haven't played with any timings yet.

I guess I need to update my Aida as a lot of the info below the test numbers is wrong lol.

Guys, I’m posting here to see if anyone is able to help me with my problem.

I received my Z790 APEX 5 days ago. Installed it together with my 13900k and G.Skill 6600 c34 A.Die Dimms.

Flashed latest BIOS + ME Update Day1. Everything worked nice for the first couple days.

Then I decided to flash the BETA Bios to check my IMC SP. Flash completed and I ran couple tests with XMP profile -> all good. Then I went further and I loaded the Hynix 7600 preset, worked well but had some Error 0 while running TestMem5 for 15 Minutes.

I went to he BIOS and wanted to reduce the IMC voltage by 1 increment by using the minus key on my keyboard and then BOOOM…. Blackscreen and reboot (without even saving the settings!!).
I was wondering but could get back to BIOS to try once more and it worked. But from that point on I got 2 more blackscreen restarts.

I decided to flash back the latest official BIOS and during this process I got a blackscreen + reboot again. I could recover using ASUS crashfree but from this point on I got blackscreens over blackscreens. Even with bare stock settings and pre Windows using just stuff like memtest….
System even crashes in BIOS :(

I’m lost please help! Did the board kill my CPU’s IMC? Did the Board kill itself?

Board has an insane level of bending, don’t know how much this affects the issue.

not to be a jerk, but i posted that testing in my original post which addresses your trouble shooting questions.

So, yes and yes for the sake of increasing post count and activity
You are not being a jerk. Glad you fixed the problem. 😁

I don't believe he necessarily has the issue sorted. He has voltage creep now (as you can see from the other screenshots), and I can only assume as soon as he tries to press safe boot or goes back to default he is back in a no post state again aswell.

Far from sorted as far as I can tell.
