Time to revive an old thread!

Who here still owns a K62? I've had mine since 2011 and I don't want to get rid of it. The case is just too nice.

But I have finally decided to do some cosmetic mods to it, what do you guys think?

Old. This is 4 years old Lancool Dragonlord K62. I was supposed to install push/pull fans setup, but only two pull fans on top and H110i is inside. So I wanted to have push/pull fans. Two 140mm Noctua push fans inside, H110i w/ 140mm Corsair pull fans on top.l I don't want to spend a new case....so here...what I did to this case...

Make room for 8-pins CPU power cable (Yes, I know it's not perfect but still)

Just got really interested on this thread as an k58 owner. I am thinking about painting mine all black inside, and maybe considering too on painting some red details like the Hard Drive trays. My case has a bit of rust just under the power supply and on the front grill, how did that happened? I wanted to know how to get rid of it and some tips on how to paint it properly. Should i just use some sandpaper and try to get rid of all the dust and rust, apply primer and then apply like 2 paint coats?

Hello,

I'm going to be cleaning mine and doing some other things and I thought I might take the time to paint it inside. Somewhere, way back in this thread, there's one painted yellow inside and I remember I really loved it at the time I first saw it. It was really sharp looking.

Also, I posted some photos of a hidden drive bay above the 5.25 bays. Click this and scroll down about halfway and take a look.

I'm running an i5-3570K in here but swapping it out for an i7-3770K, probably tomorrow if I get time. I've decided not up upgrade until all of this Spectre and Meltdown stuff is history, and besides, it runs great with the i5 and will be even better with the i7.

Remember how you feel when you see a shiny new case that catches your eye? It happens to me quite often but none of them have the fantastic features of this case. It has pretty good filtering and room for top radiators and all kinds of things, things like levers to hold expansion cards etc. Functionally, it's hard to beat this case.

I still love this case and would be very grateful if they'd produce an updated model based on user suggestions. More front ports, USB ports etc, at least one 3.5 external bay (that hidden bay can be made into one) and an inch or so wider and so many minor things that would make it even better.

Anyway, I've been poking around my old threads and posts here at OCN and seen your post. Welcome to the club and please do post photos, we love Dragonlord porn! I'd like to see any new modifications people have done since this thread was started.

Look for that bay and I'll check back in soon.
