Need to confirm what's going on honestly. I get 18000+ cpu score in time spy with my 5950x and 22k gpu score with my 3090 FE averaging a bit over 2000mhz and +900 on mem.

Others saying it's AMD are just dumb lol.

Comparing my GPU score to others with roughly the same clocks and Intel CPUs perform near the exact same or even slightly worse.

I have had issues with Nvidia drivers recently and inconsistent scores with varying clock frequencies. Have had to uninstall/reinstall drivers multiple times. Reinstalling windows was the only sure way to consistently get my scores back in line.

I have seen anywhere from a few 100's of points to 1000's. Look it up, it's a common issue with 3xxx series cards.
I'm dumb LOL

replaced kryonaut extreme for condactonaut, 4-5c better temps on load, let's see how it looks like in a week :p

btw, is it enough to change the profile for 3dmark.exe alone or do you have to change it for the timespy/port royal workload too?

I have 70 grams of Galinstan and 70 more grams of raw materials to make more, but I can't be bothered using it. Applying it is easy enough, but all the work involved with cleaning off the heatsink if you have to disassemble the card for some reason, and possibly getting the pads dirty if you need to use alcohol to wipe off the old LM or any hardened layers, is just way too much work for 4-5C improvement. It's so much easier to just use a high end thermal paste like Kryonaut Extreme, Kingpin KPx or Thermalright TFX (this is better than Kryonaut--you just have to apply it correctly like the "X" pattern, NOT by spreading and let it cure about a week..

TFX is probably the best paste on the market right now.

I'm dumb LOL

Are you that thick skulled or are you really just that dumb? Not sure what point you're making by showing a shunted/chilled water card clocked 200mhz above mine?

It was posed that an AMD cpu is the reason for lesser graphics score/port royal score and I am saying it's not.

All you're doing is trying to make up for somthing small in your pants it seems.

Why so toxic? This is not the place. Guru3d is the place for toxic people ;)

Tuned dualrank memory 4600mhz+, high cache and overclocked cpu (10900k) is like 500points extra in port royal, vs 5ghz "stock" cpu and average memory :)

If that's what you know then why not say that in the first place? Merely posting a score gives 0 context for that. Same goes with just saying "Amd lol"

Also, that's for an intel vs intel. That is why I made my comparison of my scores and gpu clock speed compared to intel counterparts to give context and reasoning its not merely an AMD issue.

You act as though you provided any help or reasoning then get salty when called out for it. Just doesn't make sense.

@ivans89 tested it.
We have the same GPU. He has shunt. I do not.
Both with 520W bios.
Both +105 on Core.

He changed to Intel and his score got a lot higher ;-)
Although his boost and avg was lower in this run.

It seems Timespy etc are loving low Latency ;-)

Cyberpunk 2077 will support Dolby Vision in a near future with a new patch, they said in 2021. I belive it will look amazing with that feature (y)

yes, i can confirm that.

Here are my results on timespy.

5900x - Dark Hero - 3800cl15 DDR4 (its not running with more) - 3090 Strix (+105 core +1500 mem) with 8mohm shuntmod + voltagemod (EVC2, 1,2v) : https://www.3dmark.com/spy/15955193

10900k - Maximus XII Apex - 4400cl16 DDR4 (maybe they could run higher, but was to lazy to test it more) - 3090 Strix (+105 core +1500 mem) with 8mohm shuntmod (WITHOUT voltagemod): https://www.3dmark.com/spy/16153455

need to do some more tests on intel with higher clock, higher rams and voltagemod on the strix.

Here is a new one with an average Mhz of 2232 - Less than 15k

Here is my Timespy with an average Mhz of 2195

vs an average of 2151 mhz of my other one

Im going to try PBO and see if that changes the GPU score instead of using a 4.8 / 4.75 all core shortly.

Im also using single rank 2x 8GB 3800 CL14 13 13 13 26 36.

My 2x 16GB 3800 CL14 have just arrived so can try that too.

How are people finding their OC in Cyberpunk 2077?

Interestingly it seems vastly more sensitive to OC than any other game I have tried, anywhere upto 60MHz less.

It tends to take a very long time to crash also - ie, 30 minutes... with curve flattened at 1.068v (about 480-500W) I'm not able to go above 2100-2115MHz, but 2130-2145MHz will take anywhere upto 30 mins+ to crash... 2160MHz perhaps 15 minutes.

I need to lower my OC by about 30-45 MHz in core, about 50-100 in mem to get it stable. Very, very sensitive to OC imo

Same here. This game destroyed all my OC profiles which have worked with no issues for me so far anywhere while the game is not so power demanding.

Modern Warfare/Warzone already did this exact thing a long time ago. But seems no one here except me plays that game.

I'm going to repaste my 3090 Strix with Kryonaut Extreme.

What thickness have the pads for the Vram and other components in the rear and front pcb?

Greetings fellow 3090 owners. I'm now a skeptical owner of a MSI 3090 Gaming X Trio. running with a 5.2ghz 10700k./ Rog strix Z490-F
I feel as tho the performance of this card seems to be a little Underwhelming,
I game in 1440p, running the latest drivers etc.this card runs super-hot in my NXZT h510 case. so hot that i have to remove the glass side panel in order to play games. The first 5 mins after installation running benchmark, i saw 85c temps before i panicked and shut the PC down.
Now I'm running custom fan profiles in Afterburner at 60-70% to keep temps below 75c. what i want to know is if i should take this card back because MSI are duds. or will flashing a new BIOS make it usable.
CODMW- BR 1440p - dont ever get over 160FPS
Cyberpunk looks great in 1440p - seems to drop FPS badly sometimes.

Yes, and yes (although remount probably helped as well).. and liquid metal is performing even better.

Temps during Full Load
Stock cooler:
Stock paste 65c - 75c
Kryonaut 55c - 62c

Water-cooled, Phanteks block
Kryonaut 45c - 52c
Conductonaut 30c - 42c
I'm going to do the thermal paste change but I'm going to need the thermal pads as they will get damaged disable the card.

Which thickness have the thermal pads for Vram and the vrm?
