Hi there guys and girls!

I have the extreme pleasure to present you Nvidia Shadowplay at OCN! In this thread, we will be discussing potential changes that can be implemented, as we have out resident Nvidia rep: aka: ManuelG

Before getting into anything further, I would like to thank iARDA for passing me the ownership of this thread. iARDA was the thread creator and did a magnificent job in creating and maintaining this thread! It has thus been passed to me, as owner from the 5th of February 2014.

What is Shadowplay?

Well, here's a video overview (of when it was released) from Nvidia themselves:

Video section:

My video overview of Shadowplay and my review of it:

Videos from other YouTubers:

Can I use it?

First of all you need to have the following to be eligible to use it (as seen from GeForce Experience) - I should also note this is for Nvidia GPUs only:

How do I get it?

The best way and most reliable way is to download GeForce Experience. With it you will get the latest updates of Shadowplay and will be able to set it up there:

What's the best Sony Vegas Render Settings?

This really varies from person to person - however I have found my own Sony Vegas render settings and they seem to work great for me. Do remember, YouTube only displays up to 30FPS and does severely compress your video:

Very important:

-Remember BEST settings in the render quality section

-Remember to UNTICK "resample" in your video file

FAQ & Known Problems:

-Windows N version problem (however there's a fix for it, see below):

-Multi-Monitor incurs a significant frame drop (reported to be over 30%) -> Seems to be tied to Aero on Windows 7, as Win8 doesn't have the issue

-SLI Performance bug with drivers after 331.65 (20-30%) finally fixed after 6months 20/09/14

Wanted Changes

-Records with different audio channels (thus you have a different audio channels for your mic and core gameplay)

I'm hoping this is the case for myself. I have had nothing but bad experiences with screen capture software and gaming.
Fingers crossed!

I'm thinking that it's going to be released with the GTX 760 and a new driver tomorrow.

The download page lists version 1.6 but links to 1.5. Release date lists 25th June. Should be soon.

Edit: they changed it back

Thanks.

I found it

http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/download

And as you say when we click it it downloads 1.5..

This will probably be sorted in a few hours.

What bugs me is that in the release hightlists there is no mention of shadowplay

GeForce Experience 1.6 Release Highlights

  • Optimizes more than 85 games. New additions include:
    • TERA
    • Call of Juarez: Gunslinger
    • Resident Evil Revelations
    • Dungeons and Dragons: Neverwinter
    • GRID 2
    • Remember Me
  • Adds beta support for game streaming from GeForce PCs to NVIDIA SHIELD

You can only Stream to an nVidia Shield, although I expect someone to hack together a client that can spoof the Shield.
