Anyone with a Fermi card folding (hopefully for OCN
) that wants to join, please fill out the form below with as much of the following information:

Fill out the form here

  • OCN Name
  • Folding Name
  • # of Fermi Cards
  • Type of Card
  • Clocks (Core/Shader/Memory)
  • Average PPD (please just pick a number, if you give me a range I'll just average it anyway - I'm trying to keep a running sum of Fermi PPD in the sheet)

Feel free to suggest things for the club and if anyone has any interest in making a banner or sig tags PM me and I'll add them to the OP.

So it isn't out of date by the end of this year.

Hmm... will inquire with the powers that be. Good suggestion!

nVidia users: "Why does my Fermi suck at large WU's?!"
ATi users: "Looks like the tables have turned..."

SHUSH YOU! I said maybe, and only because it would boost ATI's cards, i doubt it will be able to match nor beat a fermi or for that matter any CUDA gpu

OP- Yes i would love to join.

Match nor beat?
Remember, when both nVidia and ATi cards are on core 16 they will be pretty much on the same playing field.
There is no more CUDA to help nVidia out.

Honestly, nVidia cards will have a performance impact once it's on OpenCL.
How much remains to be seen.

I'm just messing with you, it'll be nice to finally get all the Red horsepower working efficiently.

Yeah...

4-5k PPD on my 6970 is pitiful (plus the high CPU usage).

Well, since its uses CUDA, and Nvidia patented CUDA, its only fair...

The old ATi client (the current one) uses CAL/Brook+.
Since it's no longer supported by AMD, the whole core had to be rewritten in OpenCL.

I just dumped some water on mine...

Isn't a club for people with similar hardware/interests? Even if AMD does have better PPD... there will still be people with Fermis.

Now, if the club was the "Fermi gets the best PPD" club, then maybe you would change it down the line. As it is, I think it'll last just fine.

Might as well have the Cayman Folding Club.

That way it can be a car, an island and a graphics card.
