Step 1: Uninstall clock gen.
Step 2: Learn the real way to overclock.
Step 3: Boot into your BIOS
Step 4: ???
Step 5: WIN!

I have tried the BIOS overclock, its won't post past 306x7 which is basically the same as what clockgen is showing

and I am trying to learn the right way, just give me sample voltages or whatever, no need to be a dick about it

First of all, i have no idea how you got 14 rep points. And second, do you have any idea how to actually overclock? The guy who got 3.5 has no reason to answer someone unless he wants to so dont get mad at him for doing something that is not his responsibility. Turn off caps lock, stop being arrogant, and follow the rules. Also, notice that his voltage is set significantly higher than yours, so you really cant compare your overclock to his. So once again, do you know anything about overclocking via the bios?

Edit// Why are you calling that guy a dick. He did nothing but tell you exactly what you need to do in simple terms

i tried his exact voltages in the bios but failed

Every CPU is different for OCing. Some are amazing for OCing while others suck, yours most likely isn't a good OCer.

First OC in the BIOS and tell us what you have the settings at.
FIRST OF ALL he used the BIOS, do not use Clockgen if you actually want a good overclock.

Up your voltage etc
We really cant do anything to help him if he doesnt understand that the cpu voltage, freq, and multiplier are not everything that there is to overclocking. Please read a FAQ about overclocking and post what setting you are running in the bios so we can actually attempt to help you.

Those two answers pretty much summed it up.

whats your fsb: dram ratio ?

what does your ram run at stock volts & what can it go to for voltages ?

whats your northbridge voltage ?

you've disabled all your motherboards power saving functions ?

up your cpu gtl reference volts

what cooler do you have ?

i see no prime95 failure ?

how long have you had the chip ? has it been burnt-in ?

I agree with Jasoncho, if you want help then be more a bit more polite to people. As for your issue, firstly what are your temps and what kind of cooling do you have?

Alright alright, I just couldn't imagine why anyone would ever use clockgen.

Your motherboard only officially supports FSB 1066, so anything past 266x7 is uncharted territory. Its entirely possible that 306 is as high as it will go, which sucks since you have a 7x multi.

If you can, try and upgrade your motherboard. To get a decent OC out of an e6300 you're looking at around 400 FSB, so you're going to need a P35/650i at the least. EVGA has a 650i Ultra motherboard in their B-stock for $60...

I honestly dont't have enough money to get another mobo after my upgrade

I am just trying to get it to 2.5 GHZ so it will run Crysis a little better

here is the original post from the guy, maybe you can figure out what he did since yall are the pro's

He has the same exact mobo as I do and has the 6300, but his is the Allendale while mine is the Conroe

I have 667, he might have 800, but would that make a huge difference?

I'm telling ya man... having 2 brands of RAM might be one of the main causes.

No more caps lock.
ok I talked to the guy who I said had the same cpu/mobo as I, he helped me out and I am now able to run at 2.8 instead of 1.8. I think like someone said earlier their was a fsb hole somewhere and I uped the VCore voltage to 1.4 along with the FSB to 1.4 as well as the MCB 1 setting and the memory voltage 1 setting.

\\

I CAN FINALLY FUN CRYSIS GOOD

800X600 WITH ALL HIGH
