I agree, get good air cooling, save some money, and buy a healthier processor and psu.

You can get a 3500 or so for the difference in price, and it would probably leave some left over for a dual rail psu with pfc. (Seasonic on newegg)

His ram will run DDR500+ with timing tweaks.

The Big Typhoon is among the top dawgs in air cooling, the only issue would be height. With a low profile 120mm fan, it stands about 5"+ off the bracket on the motherboard. Make sure your case can handle that.

7.8" is gonna be tight, but it should be do-able. Sorry I missed that post.

7.8 - 5.05" = 2.75"...should give you about 1 to 1.5 inches of overall clearance to the side of the case (conservatively).

The case is the one thing that is difficult for us to pick out. There's literally a gynormous number of good cases under $100....

Colors? Windows? Blowhole? No psu preferably? Motherboard tray? Tool-less construction?
