What do you plan on doing on your laptop? What is your budget?

Do you have a model number for the Dell you linked to? (link isn't working)
2.4 is what CPU? P8600?

Seems good though. I think from 2.0GHz to 2.4GHz you will notice a little. And since the OS is going to be 32bit from Dell, you won't use all 4GB.

edit:
If it's 64bit that's pretty awesome.
Your link doesn't work so I didn't know.

You might be able to get something off Newegg for cheaper. I'll see that for you.

Give me a second.

How's this one?
What model is the 2.4GHz is the T8600. Awesome chip because I have it.

Sorry for all the post but if u can find another dell a bit better or the same for around or less than 750 just tell me what tanks =P
There is this refurb at Fry's:

Looks like a pretty sweet deal and would do everything you need. Obviously nothing special but for that price, can't be to picky.

For such low intensity applications, the extra 400 MHz isn't noticeable (unless you happen to watch streaming full-HD videos). You're better off saving the money for something else.

Check the link I just posted up there.
Seems similar to me.

Since you have credit, then that would be the better deal. I think that is more than enough for both your father and sister. I honestly like Dell, but then they cost a lot more than what they are worth, but since you can save more by using the credit to buy it, then there are no problems. Looks good to me.

Lenovo's got a better deal:

For $769, you get:

Lenovo IdeaPad Y530 - 405166U
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor T6400 ( 2GHz 800MHz 2MB )
Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium 64
NVIDIA GeForce 9300M 256MB
4 GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1066MHz
15.4 " WXGA TFT with integrated camera AntiGlare 1280x800
320GB 5400RPM Hard drive

The hard drive alone is worth the extra cost, not to mention the performance you'll gain with DDR3 RAM and the Nvidia 9300M over the Inspiron's DDR2 and Intel graphics.

Hold up. Coupon code USPSTPATSSALE takes 25% off. $653.65 is the new total for this. Not sure if shipping is included.

Cordova I need to see (img) that DDR3 running at 1066Mhz on a 800Mhz FSB. I can tell you DDR3 running at 1066Mhz vs 800Mhz DDR2 on a 1066Mhz FSB makes no difference on a 45chipset.

My only thought is DeLL Outlet. And all mentioned would work for your needs.
