Can anyone please help me. Is it possible to install windows 7 and if so, do I need to do any specific tasks before installing ?

It looks like you should be able to.

If it a Core Duo iMac, you will only be able to do the 32 bit OS. The install will also split your hard drive. Make sure you have enough space. Also make sure you have enough RAM for whatever you are doing.
