Went searching through some of the computer parts my dad has laying around, because he used to be a computer builder.

Then i found this thing!

I cant find my camera, but ill type out what it says on the processor:

Intel i486DX
A80486DX-33
L3049105
SX419
INTEL(m)(c)1989

S/N: 6018B1
CSS80486-33

Now isnt that ghetto.

33Mhz.

While now adays, a 1.6GHz is concidered ancient.

there isnt much of a market for it, but some of the old stuff is expensive due to its rarety...ive seen some old motherboards and cpus go for in the hundreds because there is a small demand, but no product because most of that old stuff is in the trash....

ive got for vintage processors that i can find:

33MHz Intel i486DX
350MHz Intel Pentium II
350MHz Intel Pentium II w/ MMX Tech
400MHz Intel Pentium II w/MMX Tech
Not vintage, but still:
Pentium 4 Northwood 1.8GHz(dont have a working mobo for it)

I found a bunch of 4 and 8mb memory, im not sure of the type.

Ill go take some pictures of it all in a couple mins for your viewing pleasure.

My dad and I were discussing how he had the high performance Commodore 64, with a 25Mhz processor... and he remembers how much of a huge jump it was when he bought a 486.

Sheldawn, why can't use use the 1.8ghz p4? Is your IBM mobo in your profile a 478 or a 423?

I have a compaq 486dx2 laptop that still works it runs at 25mhz, has 4 meg ram, with a 215meg hard drive. I also have some really old cpu's like 8088's which run at 6 mhz.
