Liquid helium, or ln2 for sure....dice isn't cold enough for 8GHz with the amount of voltage you'd need.
those chip must be all dead now, it's like looking at a cemetery. I should report your post, it verry disturbing

Damn...these clocks are insane. I didn't think it was possible to reach up to 8GHz...
damn a P4 at 8ghz. i can bearly get mine past 3.2
Haha all P4's and a Cellys, where is your quadgod now.
Gigabyte EP45 boards kick ass

and it probably performs at about the rate of a stock e1200

Netburst's ******ed long pipeline was designed for high clocks at all cost.

It's not surprising that a 31 stage 65nm chip can hit 7-8GHz with crazy volts and -160C (and colder) temps.

Also, wasn't 7Ghz breached with a P4 something like 5-7 years ago?
65nm? I thought it was 90nm 'til Core 2?

You're correct.

I thought one of the last Netburst CPUs to roll off the line was actually 65nm.. would have to check up on that.

i think all the LGA775 P4s ending with a 1....like 631,651,671 etc were all 65nm
