LOL I installed new ATI drivers for my 4850 and now I had 2 times VPU recover in modern warfare 2. It never happened before. My overclock setting is 700mhz 1150mhz ram and I ran Furmark and i saw some things flickering In my screen (artifacts).

What now?

Put it back to stock and see if it still happens.
doesn't seem to happen at stock clocks :S I'll try to overclock it again.
OC was simply unstable. Don't be so aggressive, or get better cooling/vmod.
I overclocked it in CCC and my cooling is an aftermarket cool Zalman GV1000 I replaced it because the stock one REALLY sucked

temps idle = 35
temps load = 50

Temperatures aren't the only thing - just because temperatures are low, doesn't mean your overclock will be stable.
Well I think I got it pretty stable again. I set the ram clock 100 mhz lower
just because the card doesnt crash at that speed does not mean its going to be stable. Back of those clocks a bit and try again. Or just act like its a new card, and start the OC'ing process from scratch.

I do find it kinda weird though that updating drivers did this though. It.... never had this problem before the update?

strange
the updates caused it
maybe sumthin else happened
well try oc from scratch
I dont think it is the fact that you updated but it just being COD MW2.

I would set my 4850 at a certain clock, run furmark two hours and crysis, then i go into COD WaW and it crashes.

I think COD games are just really sensitive to unstable overclocks, which makes them nice testing games.
