Hello all, How are we?

Ok. My problem is, After i downloaded my Sound Drivers awhile back (Realtek AC'97 Drivers 3.92 WHQL). I have had very quiet sound. I've checked all my Volume controls, and they are on full. I have an intel motherboard, and my sound is Onboard. My computer is an Intel.
I remeber before i reformatted, I had the 'SoundMAX' driver, but now this time i have Realtek, and when i try to install SoundMAX, it says it can't find the drivers, and that i should restart and try again. I do so, but it says the same thing.

Any help is appreciated.
Run driver cleaner and then download http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&GetDown=false

have the speakers you are using have built in amps? Because if they dont the onboard cant supply the power the the speakers. Try a pair of headphones or something similar that you know have a good volume. Then plug them into your rig.
Are you plugging them into the same place you have tryed you speakers? Or are you using the 'front panel' audio jacks?

I had the same issue but fortunately for me I could run the nforce audio driver which also comes with nvmixer and got rid of the realtek ac97 drivers and soundmax. You may want to try those as I think its a problem with those drivers and how it detects your speaker or headphones in this case. It will also install itself over the realtek drivers without having to run a cleaner.

http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_...2_win2kxp.html

Don't know if it will work for ya but I tried

you have no drivers because driver cleaner deleted all reg entries and such that could cause conflicts when you install new drivers. now get the drivers from post number 2 and see if you any luck
