I'm still new to overclocking, but I was wondering if it is normal for one core to be a lot faster then the other?

and if so what is the reasoning for this?

It's normal. Mine is the same way on Prime95. I would assume it's due to the the fact that most if not all of the background processes are running on the same core.

and I see little diffidence in the pent d oc'ed vs the Pii at stock

why did you go from a phenom II quad core to a pentium D?

that is backwards. There is no way a pentium D is faster then a phenom II quad.

well it's not faster
like 65/100 of the Pii on stock vs my oc ( had lowish end ram in the am3 setup tho)
any way the PII system died
may not even get the Q2C
as the pent D is doing so well
prob still get it tho (with supper high expectations)
