Hi everyone, I want to know, is this a good mobo.
What I need:
at least 4 sata ports
at least 2 IDE ports
AM2+/AM2

Ok also a few questions:
Is the onboard Radeon HD3200 good?
Is the onboard audio good?
I heard alot of bad stuff about driver problems for onboard sound is it true?
How to fix sound problems?
Will my comp specs work on this board?
Can my power supply handle it?
and finally....
Can and IF i put a Athlon X2 7750, will it work/can my power supply handle it?

For the people who give good answers, credits.

everything will work, the 3200 is decent, about as powerful as a 3450/8400GS, all am2 cpus will work with it, the sound is decent. If its cheap, go for it.
You're going to have a hard time finding a newer board with 2 IDE ports. You might find an older AM2 board that will most likely not have k10 (kuma, deneb, agena) cpu support.

Just a hunch.
i can deal with 1 IDE i guess. But what about the sound problems, i heard alot of problems about it
the 780g afaik has decent sound, my friend just build a rig with one and its fine (saphire 780G)
what about the audio problems people!!!!!! I havent even heard of this company!!
hi, i have that board and here's what i have to say

it's a good mobo to consider if you don't mind overclocking to the extremes. you can still do some mild overclocking with non black edition cpus.

it has 5 sata ports but only 1 ide port

the onboard 3200 is quite good for htpc purposes. it can play 1080p with ease.

the audio driver problem is only with vista 64, but you can download the latest from their site and it should solve the problem

yes, your specs will completely work with it.

your psu is more than enough for it even with a 4870x2.

it can handle the athlon x2 7750 and any 95w am2/am2 tdp cpus.

Radeon 3200 will play all games from 2007 back (except Crysis)
Onboard Audio is good unless you are wanting extreme HD clarity
The driver problems are most likely from idots
ther should not be any
yes they are good enough
yes your PSU (I have been in your computer too) is good enough
and yes finally the Athlon 64 x2 7750 should run fine in that board, but if you are gonna buy a 7750 and a new mobo why not go for this 7750 and mobo combo
also anything by AMD will ONLY support Crossfire, no SLi so if you upgrade your GPU later, and want to do multi GPU, then you can ONLY use ATi cards

lol Robert ECS os what made the Iris 8 mobo inside of your Compaq.. Remember? we looked it up online, it is HP OEM, but ECS made it
I waz talking about the on-board sound company
dude if i'm not mistaken its IDT its a great sound quality just make sure you have the HD patch for windows XP and you'll surely end up contented..i have used one of these and with proper installation the 7.1 channel capability is definitely immersing(though you need a good sound system)..
