Operation Flashpoint 2

Release date: 29th of April

I cannot wait for this game to come out.

The first one was rad, I bet most of you didn't play it though. It was released in 2001. I was only 6 then, but damn that game was fun (still is).

The storymode was amazing and challenging. Also realistic. There was also a editor mode where you could choose where there would be enemy, where you would spawn, as well as place building and such.

I was waiting for the sequel to come for a long time, and finally it's almost here. It's set to come out in summer 2009.

Remember the mission when you start as a sniper in the woods all by yourself and you have to get past thousands of enemies to get to the evac point?

Yep, same here.

Although AA2 doesn't seem to really bring a whole lot in terms of features to the table - the only thing I noticed is shooting from passenger seats. (Off little birds, HMMV windows, etc) Which will be a very welcome feature, of course.

Haven't checked in a couple months though. I'll still be buying both regardless.

Cant wait for this game i want to play it so bad.
Operation Flashpoint was way ahead of its time. The game was amazing and overlooked by many people.

There was nothing like getting a group of people together and attacking that small village map and the map in the desert were you had to disable the tank before it got to it's destination.

OF2 looks great... I hope it plays great as well.
This reminds me I wana play this game again lol.
omg the release date is set for 29th april! Also a demo will be out before the game is out.

do want

I'd like to see sources confirming that release date because from what I remember the release date was supposed to be later than April. If it's true thanks for sharing it and I'm excited. It seems Wikipedia has it listed as April 29 but I'm not exactly certain that it's 100% accurate.

It's not accurate. Gamefaqs and a few other reliable sources had it set for May 26th, then just a few days ago the release date wasn't up on any of the sites. Additionally, if you look on OFP 2 official site you see that there is no release date, and that it just says Summer 2009. So with saying that I believe it puts to rest that OFP 2 will be released on April 29 or May 26th because its been pushed back a bit. This is good news to me because I would like to have a good initial release and not something buggy. Hope this helps
