im wanting to see if anyone has the new custom cooled xfx 4890 with the fan in the middle of the card, and how they like it. Ive seen where people didnt like it, but also read where some got good overclocking results and really like the card. Bestbuy has this card onsale for 179.99. From what i can tell, i like the card. I dont plan on overclocking, but might give a shot. Another thing is, newegg has the samecard and apparently the memory is clocked at 900. the card at bestbuy with which looks exactly the same has the memory clocked at 975. just wanted to see if what luck people have had with this and where they might of bought it.
Well, im glad to hear you like it. What are your 3d mark 06 test scores? im going to run some and see where it stands. Just by the seat of my pants feel in COD 4 and Americas army 3, with everything on at 1680x1050, it was smooth as butter.

i have like 17.500 approx, havent really optimized anything tho, using my old drivers and stuff...
im running cod mw2 on 1680x1050 2xAA details on extra, runs more then smooth, at some points i tested today (only ran it for 5 mins) i got as low as 65fps but usually around 100 tho
I picked this up at best buy for 180 on the monday deal and it does runn pretty cool compared to my Trad 2. there is nothing on the vram or voltage parts, but get the feeling that heat sinks are not really need on them. I use an old case that I put 12 80mm sleeve fans on a controller and it keeps the card pretty cool.
