I got my Opteron in the mail from newegg this afternoon! The stepping is:

CACJE 0552FPEW

I popped it in and began running Super Pi's! Here is what I have so far.

Pi 1M @ 3.0Ghz - 1.5v

Pi 32M @ 2.9Ghz - 1.5v

I think I am giving Crash a run for his money

You gotta go 300x10 before you can say you are beating Crash

Well done, you got a good CACJE it seems.

Nice work... keep working it ... you may find a slightly lower than common vcore has a sweet spot, high 1.4 to mid 1.5v

I'm impressed, nice job.
Close to the rig I'm getting ready to build.
Need GSkill pc4800 for a few extra mhz.

Nice, seems like only yesterday people were saying no one would reach 3ghz on a amd. Intel should just throw the towel in now.

Dual core, single core, 3ghz on both amd is on top of this game.

We should start a 3ghz club

Nah, I know it is the RAM because it is just messed up. For some reason, it will only run CAS 2 and even at 2.5, it wont post. It loves voltage so much, that when I reset CMOS, I need to put another stick of RAM in, crask up the voltage to 3, before I can get the TCCD to post.
