Hi enigmaticsphere,

Welcome to the forums. If you enter your CP (Character Profile) and insert your system specifications you will then help us to help you.

An overclock is dependent on your system peripherals such as motherboard, ram, cooling etc. so it is rather difficult to give a definitive answer without these specifics.

well with my system ive been able to get to 2700mhz stable, my idle temps are 35*C and my load temps are 55*C with my door open on my case. i am using artic silver 5 too. 55*C is what you dont want to go over on amd processors and 60*C is like THE MAX. but for dual core processors you can add 5*C to the max temp but still try no tot go over 55*C

My temps and oc are the exact same. I use a zalman 7700Cu plus a bunch of fans, and i am wondering if the stock opteron 165 4-heatpipe fan will out perform it. What kind of cooling do you intend to use?
Keep the full load temp @ or below 50°c and see what you can get for an OC.
GET those STABLE OCs added to the database ... check post #2 in the link
