Is it worth the a little extra money buying an Opteron 165 with a stepping of CCBBE 0610 DPMW? I know it's supposed to be the best stepping but is it worth the extra over say one with a stepping of CCBBE 0617FPMW. I will be buying on E-Bay so I know what the stepping will be. The 0610 is used and the 0617 is new. What do you guys think? This will be going in a DFI LP UT nF4 SLI-DR mobo.

Maybe an extra $20 or so above the other one. I'm talking as far as OC'ing it. I want to push to 3Ghz.

Both steppings with decent hardware to accompany them will likely get you to 2.8GHz. It is a crap shoot if you will be able to attain 3.0, but CCBBE 0610 would be the better bet.
