Ok, on Newegg, in the 939 mobos, it says Athlon 64/FX/X2/ Sempron.

Semprons are not for 939 boards yet
, so im assuming that it means an Opty.
If it does, how are the Opties? are they good for gaming? Help Plz!

i switched yesterday from a AMD 64 4000+ to an AMD Opteron 165. I'm running it stable at 2.7GHz and it's lighting fast. My 4000+ ran at 2.88GHz and it has nothing on this dual core. Opteron's are pretty nice and cheap.
A friend of mine just installed a X2 4400 and it isn't as fast as this Opteron, but everyone has different experiences with OC'ing.

Im sure as you know from the various threads in here, it also could have a lot to do with the stepping of your processor. Opty's are great overclockers given a good stepping as the 3700+ has proven not too be too shabby either.
