Orthos blend insta fail @ stock

As the title states, even at stock Orthos blend refuses to run. Has been this way since I got the board. I have never had problems with any of my previous ASUS boards. The weird thing is, I can run Memtest 86+ overnight no problem, and Orthos Small FFT's overnight no problem. I got sick of trying to mess with everything possible and gave up mostly, and just left it, and continued to use my pc as nothing I did could get past 1 sec of blend testing. To my surprise, I have been using the pc for 3 days now (at 400x8 CPU, 800 ram), gaming, everything, and have yet to run into a single error. And my comp is left on 24/7. No random restarts, freezes, stutters, anything. If I'm failing orthos blend so hard shouldn't I be really instable? Could it be something software? I tried XP and Win7 to be sure, and the same results. Why can I pass small FFT's and Memtest?

Your CPU needs more juice. Just bump it up a notch.

Even at stock setting I get the same. I can take it all the way to 1.5V at stock FSB even and it won't pass blend. I just don't get it. It fails instantly regardless of settings, but can pass 12+ hours memtest and Orthos small FFT.
Yeah, I think I have no other choice I guess. If I have to resort to that, ASUS has lost a long time customer. 80% of pc stuff I buy has always been from them. My last board, a P5N-E died before a year at no higher than 1600 FSB. That was not a huge deal. But now this $300 board? How long should I expect to be without a board if I RMA?
Have you tried IBT/OCCT or reinstalling orthos? Seems weird that it is only one test. Also, try it with less RAM slots full. Even though it passes memtest, it could be a NB issue. (also might try upping the NB voltage a notch)

I am not sure what IBT/OCCT is, and no, I haven't tried reinstalling Orthos. And it is the same install file I've had on my 2nd HDD for a year or so, so I guess it would be a good idea to download and reinstall. Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried with every ram config possible, trust me. I tried each stick alone in each slot, so it's pretty safe to say that isn't it. I have taken the NB up to 1.5V, how much is safe? Remember, this is at stock as well.

Actually, successfully passing "Small FFTs" part of the test is a good sign that his processor is having enough voltage.

dralb, I installed OCCT and passed all tests, even at 3.2GHz, so I guess it was the Orthos install. You don't know how much trouble you just saved me man, thanks again!
