Background:
Workin with a software company to help with bug issues.
Out of system Resources, Access is Denied, unable to view scrollbars
(all errors encountered)
This is a Xp specific issue. Using the software on Vista and unable to recreate the errors.
I have noted this software has low user handle usage compared to other programs such as Outlook or Iexplore.
But the GDI usage is much higher. Nothing outrageous, highest i have seen is 1400.
Usually around 1200 gdi usage the errors start to occur. I found a thread regarding system resources and they lead me to two Reg Settings:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows NT\\CurrentVersion\\Windows
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\System\\CurrentControlSet\\Con trol\\Session Manager\\SubSystems
These settings were set lower in XP compared to vista so i lowered them and was able to recreate the errors at a lower GDI usage but when i Up them it doesnt matter what i set them too, between 1200-1400 GDI the errors still occur.
Been fighting this one for a few weeks and if anyone knows another setting i can adjust or where to go from here, im all ears. Thanks
