Out with the old

Just ordered replacements for my crappy components off Newegg, here's what I'm looking at.

MSI P7N SLI -> Asus P5Q Deluxe
Generic McPSU 650w -> Corsair 850TX
Kingston McRAM 2x2GB -> Corsair Dominator DDR2 1066

Feels great to get rid of this crap, also the mainboard came with a cooler (I'm using stock), so that will do until Feser TFC360's get back in stock. I don't plan to OC with this cooler.

What do you guys think of my choices? I think they're pretty solid, and overkill for my build.

I'd just like to add that Newegg customer service is the best, all my products had free shipping besides the mainboard, so I opened live chat and asked if I could get free shipping on it, not only did they give me that, but they gave me 10.00USD off the P5Q Deluxe, can't beat that.

Thanks
, I've also got a friend using an old PC (AGP2X, Single Core, ETC), and offered to sell him;

MSI P7N SLI (Pretty Much New), Q6600 G0, 4GB of Generic Ram for ~200USD

I might sell him a thermaltake case and that generic PSU for an extra 50, I don't know if I'll use it for my file server yet or not.

Anyways I was considering doing that, and picking up a Q9650, I've heard the Yorkfields run much cooler than the Kentsfield, do you think I'd notice a difference from my Q6600 to a Q9650?

That's what I've heard, everytime I see someone looking for a new PSU, they mention that the 650TX could handle what I'm running times two no problem, so I got the 850TX, and Newegg had it in their weekly Eggxclusives for 15.00 off, so it worked out perfect.

I don't like to skip out on my PSU, a lot of people really overlook their PSU's IMO.

As far as the old components go, I might sell them off to a friend with my Q6600 to help pay for a Q9650, if he doesn't want them, I don't know.

Dang thats a good deal for your friend

If you overclock it yes, the 9650's can hit 4.0 pretty easily plus they have the bigger cache
