well i have a dell and i wanna use clock gen but im not sure which one to use.... i have a 8300 and i wanna oc the cpu a bit any ideas? or is there a way to change the bios?

my motherboard is OM2035 intel chipset i875p running bios version a07 also it would help if anyone would know how to figure out your socket............ 2.8ghz northwood

if anyone could respond i would be really happy

OKay well let me put it this way, you cant overclock unless you get another motherboard. Dell or any other brand name computers dont overclock.....so buy yourself a new motherboard and then you will be able to overclock

i know that but the thing is.......... that you can if u can get a modded version of the bios also by software... but im sorta looking for a modded bios also i remember a guy that used to be on oc.net i dont know if he is anymore and he was like bios guru

but if all fails.... i need to figure out what my socket in my mobo is and buy a new flippin cpu which im not going to do because intel stinx..

On subject: I am almost positive that Orange is correct, there isn't a clockgen for that mobo. You can just get a new motherboard and use all of your old equipment though. Might need a new psu and case, since Dells are a little funky.

oh i have a custom... psu enermax not dell psu

lol forget it then...................................... im just gonna buy a whole new computer soon anyway.... but it would be cool if i could get a modded bios..

ontop of all of this i see theres no way to overclock so now im wondering if there is an update for my bios out for my dell board the versions A07 dates back to september 27 04... so its a bit outdated can someone help me find a newer version for my computer?

im wondering....i believe most dell motherboards are Foxconns, if you can find the bios for that specific Foxconn board, cant you just load that instead of the dell bios?
