Overclock settings back to defaults when stand-by PC

356 Views 4 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  ArchCorsair
i have an Intel Q8200 which is overclocked in bios from 2,33 to 2,4ghz (which is a little overclock,it does not overheat).

when i put my pc in stand-by mode my overclock settings are default again (so it turns back to 2,33ghz).

does anyone know what the problem is?

Shouldn't be the stability of the OC. I assume it's the BIOS version like Rick Arter said. Try flashing to a new version. I don't know much about Foxconn G31MX Series, but have you looked around in the BIOS if there's something that has to be switched on/off in order to save it properly?
Flashing the bios is a good option, also do you have a spare battery to pop into the mobo and are you sure your saving when exiting bios?

Yup, try replacing the battery on the mobo then flash the latest version of your BIOS.
