I'm a complete Noob when it comes to this overclocking stuff. I am using ASUS Auto Tuning Feature to get results in the vicinity of 3.9 Ghz. I've heard from various reviews of my processor, the i7-3820, that you can easily overclock it to 4.5 Ghz. Here's my configuration:

Motherboard: P9X79 Deluxe Version Rev 1.xx (BIOS v 1103)
Processor: Intel i7-3820 Intel 64 Family 6 Model 45 Stepping 7
RAM: DDR3 Patriot 2000EL Series (Max Bandwidth 533 Mhz) XMP-2000 (9, 11, 9, 27, 50, 1.650V)
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 430
Power Supply: 430 Watt Corsair Builder's Series

I am wondering why it can't get me to higher speeds. Do I need more juice? Do I have to do it manually, if so where can I find a comprehensive guide for a complete noob. The stuff online seems a bit dated.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

430W isn't an awful lot to work with, when you're OCing.
Also, what CPU cooler are you using?
