Hi,
I recently acquired a laptop for work and some gaming. Since it has a GT 840M (which is comparable to R7 GPUs according to FutureMark), I would like to achieve a minimum of 40-50 FPS on games like BF4. How would I proceed to overclock that GPU?

Thanks in advance!

P.S. If you could also provide some tips to overclock the i5-4210U in the laptop, it would be greatly appreciated!

The cpu is not overclockable but the gpu is easely OC'able, install Nvidia inspector and go for +135Mhz for the core +400 for Memory and enjoy performance

But dont expect too much from the 840M, its a nice card but not a monster of power

Dont forget to watch temps (GPU-Z or HWmonitor) while gaming even if the 840M does not overheat thanks to the Maxwell Architecture in it.

Thanks, but I have tried pretty much every overclocking tool (MSI Afterburner, EVGA PrecisionX, Rivatuner, nVidia Inspector) but I am not able to increase the clock speeds. Every time I attempt to increase the frequency, it just goes back to the default setting.
