Hi guys, I'm new to all this overclocking stuff, and wanted to get some info and help from experianced people such as yourself. i'm on a low income atm, and cant afford to buy a new pc or upgrade what i already have, but really want to squeeze a little bit more out of my pc.
I've got a Compaq sg3-110uk and below are its specs:
Motherboard
H-Aira-RS780L-uATX (Aira-GL8)
Manufacturer: Foxconn
Form factor: uATX
Chipset: AMD 760G
Memory sockets: 2 x DDR3
Front side bus speeds: 5200 MT/s
Processor socket: AM3
Expansion Slots: 2 PCI Express x1 slots
For more details, see Aira motherboard specifications .
Processor
AMD Athlon II X2 215
Operating speed: Up to 2.7 GHz
Number of cores: 2
Socket: AM3
Memory
2 GB
Amount: 2 GB
Speed: PC3-10600 MB/sec (messages as PC3-8500)
Type: DDR3-1333
Video graphics
Integrated graphics using ATI Radeon 3000
i have done little things like increase my paging file size. and used a spare 1gb card for readyboost. but im not seeing much in the way of improvements. sombody pointed me to the AMD overdrive software, but my 760G chipset is not supported.
I'm not expecting a supercomputer that rivals the arura or anything lol, just want to squeeze a little extra out of what i have, but not push it to far, as i dont have enough cash to buy after market cooling system.
Any help or advice would be greatly apreciated,
