Hello everyone.

I have been overclocking on my GA-G41M-ES2L for a while now with my E7500 2.93ghz. However, I cannot get the processor past 3.63ghz, and I think it might be something to do with the motherboard. I am using OCZ Platinum RAM so I don't think it is an issue there. Any ideas on what could be wrong.

*note* I am still quite new to Overclocking so maybe it is just me being a real noob xD

Regards

Toble

Have you increased your Vcore at all? If not then i'd say give it a bit more juice.

What is happening when you hit 3.63? is it blue screening?

I have been increasing my vcore. And 3.63 is the highest I can get without it blue screening. I try going any higher and the computer just won't boot. Not post beep or anything. It just reset the mobo back to default clock speed.

I have never been able to increase the FSB over 350 MHz on four different G41 motherboards. That chip is simply not meant for overclocking.

EDIT: old thread is old?
