I bought a new rig with the contents of my signature, i oc'd it gradually and got to 2.4, however any higher and on bootup jst before it types DMI Pool..... it freezes and reboots. i think it might be my ram as it is value Corsair ram with poo timings, but im not sure... i need advice tbh

If you post us your bios settings and voltages it'd help alot mate.
But have you tried lowering your htt? and also u could try uping the vcore up a bit and adding a devider for your ram.

these settings will be for 2,900mhz. Your memory should boot fine also...

290 x 10
HTT x 3
VID+VID special = 1.425+110% (1.568)
Memory timings 2.5-3-3-7
CPC enabled (1T)
Memory voltage 2.7-2.8
Memory divider 150

If this doesn't work, just lower your FSB (290) to say 280. Leave everything else the same..

neah those settings didnt work... perhaps i got one hell of a DUD cpu :|

Edit: i did get to 2.32 though

Did you try running a divider, value ram normally doesn't get to or past 220mhz.

thing is i took my ram down to 100 so that it was completly out of the equation... yet i still couldnt get past 2.32

I said set your divider to 150 ...you have it at 180 now. Your cpu should work with my previous settings, if it's not, then you aren't setting things properly.
You could try 280x10...or it could be the board really doesn't like the value ram.

i did when i tested it, when it didnt work i set it back
(i think its the value ram... lol so glad i didnt buy it in the past half a year)
