I was just wondering if the multiplier is completely locked on these things or whether you can up the multi by 3 points as with the rest of the sandy bridge lineup. A $40 G530 @ 2.7GHz would be pretty sweet as an upgrade for my brother.

It is definitely locked...but I have seen turbo of 25x multiplier however. Far as I have gone is 106mhz blck before it bricks, but for 30-40 bucks a 2.6Ghz Celeron G530 always has a place in one of my slots if one of my others falls victim to tragedy.
